Save favorite places
Save your favorite places on the map so you can quickly find them later from any computer, phone, or tablet.
Notes:
- To save places and view them on Google Maps, make sure you're signed in to your Google Account.
- To easily find an address not named by Google Maps, like your relative’s house, add a label to it. Learn how to give a place a private label.
Save a place
Add your favorite places to a list to easily look them up later. Saving a place isn't the same as downloading an offline area.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app
.
- Search for a place, tap a marker, or touch and hold a spot on the map.
- Tap the name or address of the place.
- Tap Save
choose a list.
Note: Your saved places are visible only to you unless you create and share a list of places.
See your saved places
- Open the Google Maps app
.
- In the top left, tap the Menu

Search for a saved place
- Open the Google Maps app
.
- Tap the search box.
- Start typing the name of the place you've saved.
- Tap the search suggestion for the place.
Note: To see saved places while searching, you need to turn on Web & App Activity.
Get directions to a saved place
- Open the Google Maps app
.
- Tap Directions
.
- Swipe up to see your recently saved places.
- Tap your saved place.

Delete a saved place
- Open the Google Maps app
.
- In the top left, tap the Menu

- Find the list with the place you want to remove and tap More
Edit list.
- Tap Remove
next to the place you want to remove from the list.
- Tap Save.
