Delete directions and places from your history

If you have Web & App Activity turned on, your Maps history shows you places that you:

• Searched for recently
• Reviewed
• Shared
• Been asked to review
• Answered a question about

View your Maps history

To check your Maps history, follow the steps below.

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app  and sign in.
2. Tap your profile picture or initial   Settings  Maps history.

Remove places from your Maps history

Delete some places from your history

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app  and sign in.
2. Tap your profile picture or initial   Settings  Maps history.
3. Next to the entries that you want to delete, tap Remove  Delete.

Delete all places from your history

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app  and sign in.
2. Tap your profile picture or initial   Settings  Maps history.
3. In the search bar at the top, tap More   Delete activity by.
   • ​To delete by date: Under the 'Delete by date' section, choose a date range.
   • To delete all your history: Under the 'Delete by date' section choose All time.
4. Tap Delete.

Tip: If you delete all of your Maps history, it doesn't delete places that you've saved, shared or were asked to review.
