If you have Web & App Activity turned on, your Maps history shows you places that you:
- Searched for recently
- Reviewed
- Shared
- Been asked to review
- Answered a question about
View your Maps history
To check your Maps history, follow the steps below.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app
and sign in.
- Tap your profile picture or initial

Remove places from your Maps history
Delete some places from your history
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app
and sign in.
- Tap your profile picture or initial

- Next to the entries that you want to delete, tap Remove
Delete.
Delete all places from your history
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app
and sign in.
- Tap your profile picture or initial
Settings
Maps history.
- In the search bar at the top, tap More
Delete activity by.
- To delete by date: Under the 'Delete by date' section, choose a date range.
- To delete all your history: Under the 'Delete by date' section choose All time.
- Tap Delete.
Tip: If you delete all of your Maps history, it doesn't delete places that you've saved, shared or were asked to review.
