Book Metro tickets from the Google Maps app

Important: This feature is currently only available in Kochi and Chennai.

In the Google Maps app, you can now get the option to purchase your metro tickets. The ticket booking and payment experience is powered by our partner, Namma Yatri, which is a buyer app on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) platform.

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
2. Search for the destination or station, or tap it on the map.
3. Tap Directions Transit .
4. Select a trip that includes a metro line.
5. Within the trip result, next to “Get your metro tickets,” tap Book.
6. To complete the booking, you’ll be redirected to the page powered by Namma Yatri.
   1. Check your trip details.
   2. Edit the ticket quantity.
   3. Share the mobile number where you’d like to receive the QR code ticket through SMS.
   4. To book a round trip, check the box next to "Book a round trip."
   5. At the bottom, tap Pay.
7. On the payment window that appears:
   1. Select your payment method.
   2. To complete the payment flow, tap Proceed to Pay.
8. Once the payment has been processed, the QR code ticket will be displayed on your screen. You can share or save the ticket from that screen.
9. To go back to the “Trip Details,” at the top right, tap Close .
