Understand Street View photo symbols

To improve your navigation experience, specific imagery and symbols may show up on the map. You can find these symbols when you use Pegman to find Street View on Google Maps for computers.

Tip: Both Street View users and Google can add Street View photos.

Street View photo types and connections

You may be able to navigate between photos, depending on the type of Street View photo and the proximity of photos to each other.

Street View

When multiple nearby 360 photos are connected through navigation. These photos may be collected by Google or by Street View contributors.

Photo Paths are no longer a supported feature. New Photo Paths can’t be published to Google Maps. You can manage your published Photo Paths in Street View Studio.
