Save and manage your trips in Google Maps

You can quickly get directions and an estimated time of arrival for your frequent trips in the Google Maps app.

Important: This feature is only available on mobile.

Save your frequent trips

If you want to save a frequent trip, you can pin it. By default, the Go tab suggests several addresses to pin. These addresses come from your search history or your Location History. Learn about directions and places from your history. 

If you pin a favourite trip, it will show up at the bottom of your screen when you tap the Go tab. You can pin a trip from a directions search or from the suggestions in the Go tab.

Tip: You can pin only driving, public transport and two-wheeler trips.

To pin a trip from a directions search:

1. On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app .
2. Search for a destination and tap Directions.
3. Select a transportation mode. If you select Public transport, choose your preferred route.
4. At the bottom, tap Pin .

To pin a trip from the Go tab:

1. On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app .
2. At the bottom, tap Go .
3. To get a list of suggested trips, in the bottom bar, swipe up.

4. Find the trip that you want and, on the right, tap Pin . 

Remove a pinned trip

1. On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app .
2. At the bottom, tap Go .
3. Tap the pinned route that you want to edit.
4. At the bottom, tap Pinned .

Clear pinned trips

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Maps app .
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture or initial .  
3. Tap Settings .
4. Under 'Go tab', tap Delete pinned trips.
5. Tap Delete.

Edit a trip that you pinned

Edit a trip from driving to public transport

1. On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app .
2. At the bottom, tap Go .
3. Tap the pinned route that you want to edit.
4. At the bottom, tap Pinned .
5. At the top, tap Public transport .
6. Tap the trip that you want.
7. At the bottom, tap Pin .

Edit a trip from public transport to driving

1. On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app .
2. At the bottom, tap Go .
3. Tap the pinned route that you want to edit.
4. At the bottom, tap Pinned .
5. At the top, tap Other trip options.
6. At the top, tap Driving .
7. At the bottom, tap Pin .
