How will Google users know that my organization provided map content to Google?
We identify many of the organizations that have provided us map content when the content is being viewed on Google Maps and Google Earth and/or on the legal notices page associated with these services. Whether we identify your organization depends on the type of map content you provide and the Google service in which it appears. In Google Earth, for example, we identify many partners that provide aerial imagery in a credits line at the base of the user interface. For vector data, such as political boundaries and road names, we generally only identify partners on the legal notices page. And in Google Maps for mobile, the size of the screen limits the attribution that we can provide.
