Not receiving emails - Error 550 - 5.1.1 the email account does not exist (BUT IT DOES!) 2 Recommended Answers 199 Replies 765 Upvotes
Someone emailed me and asked if my account still exists - they were getting a bounce back. I tested it out by sending a "test" email to my gmail from my work email (non G-mail). I got a bounce back that says
5.1.0 - Unknown address error 550 - "5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. Please try\n5.1.1 double-checking the recipient's email address for typos or\n5.1.1 unnecessary spaces. Learn more at\n5.1.
My account definitely still exists, there were no typos. I sent a message using my gmail, and it sent out properly. I'm just not receiving any emails. Can anyone help me figure this out? I'm just using a personal account, so no admins or anything to help me.

Seems to be gmail wide. Having that same issue here. Can't send to any gmail account.

Same problem here.
Can´t even reach my own gmail from work mail, while work mail from gmail still works.

I am having the same issue. It's only select people who are unable to reach me whereas I'm receiving some other correspondence just fine. It's very frustrating and I hope Google will respond and remedy this.

Glad this is an established issue, our company had a problem with over 200 email accounts that were suddenly "deleted".
