How can I ungroup email conversations. I really hate this feature

I do not want my email conversations stacked on top of each other.  Is there a setting to change this?

Have turned off the conversation view. Emails are still grouped. Can't get attachments from previously received emails in the group.

I have turned off the conversation view. Emails are still grouped. Can't get attachments from previously received emails in the group. Can't delete unwanted drafts or it deletes original email. I hate this conversation view grouping. REMOVE IT PLEASE
Did you remember to click on Save Changes after turning off conversation view?

I don't have a conversation view option in G-Suite settings .  It only shows me Display setting of Comfort, Cosy and Compact!

Unfortunately, you are mistaken.  That will not undo conversation view.

I have the same problem. I've turned off conversation view and my emails are still grouped. I'm on an Galaxy s10e running Android 10. And yes, I've saved the changes. It does turn off for single inbox but turns back on for all inboxes view.
Hi Dave, Conversation View is an account-related setting.  If you turn it off for only one account, that account will still show separate message in All Inboxes, but the accounts that still have CV on, will still form conversations.  You will need to turn off CV for all accounts.

hi I've also unticked the checkbox for conversation view yet the conversations are still grouped. it's impossible and incredibly frustrating. there is no save button option btw. gmail designers need to get the sack, it shouldn't be this hard. please help. using Samsung S7 and gmail app.
Hi Melanie, sounds like you are using the Gmail app.  Things work a little differently there.  You also must be using the All Inboxes view.  If you look really carefully, you will see that messages to the account where you disabled Conversation View are no longer grouped in conversations, but you will need to go into each account and disable that View - it is a per account setting.

As it happens, IMO, Gmail designers should have got a bonus for including this feature that keeps conversations together - and Outlook designers were pretty quick to copy it.
