That functionality does not exist while typing on the web/internet. That's a Word Processor function as would be found in programs such as Microsoft Word. It is available in mobile apps, and email client programs such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird, but wouldn't work in webmail.

Gmail does not have auto-correct or even auto spell-check (only manual).
While browsers have auto spell-check, they do not have auto-correct.
So you'l need to find some browser extension or other utility to do that sort of auto-correction when composing messages.

Charli,
Webmail isn't a program. You can do your typing in a program and attach it to the email if you need better word processing options.

Pete,
Did you read my previous response? It is not a Gmail issue. It is what you get when working on the internet (in the cloud) rather than on your computer. Gmail (and Yahoo, and Hotmail, and many others) are all functioning in the cloud. Microsoft Outlook is an email program on your computer. It's cousin Microsoft Word which you said you'd use, is a word processor on your computer.
By the way, I was originally taught to write letters in MS Word and add them as attachments to emails to send. I'd never copy and paste the contents into the body of an email.

Hello Ariel Smith. Thanks for posting to Gmail.
Unless each new line was also starting a new sentence, why would someone want odd capitalization in the middle of a two line sentence...Just curious.
