Tap + to bring up photos.
Select picture to add (I was able to add two)
Now select pictures from the quick pick row

Yep, same problem here. Steps to reproduce on iPhone 12 Pro:
Gmail
Compose
Attach
Now try to attach two or more images from the camera roll.
Can't select two. If you attach one and try to add a second you come to the image selection screen and remain there with everything dead including the Cancel button. Sometimes the app crashes.
Very annoying!

The only trick I can get to work is compose an email and attach photos but only use Recent Photos. I get 5-6 pics available.
I then have to copy a later pic again to make it recent if I want to use it.
Do not press All Photos then everything freezes.
This is a real pain and only started for me in IOS 14.2. Hindsight, don’t update iOS right away and wait for the complaints.
I don’t see a fix coming from Google or Apple.

But i have also an iphone 7 and there the gmail app works perfect and can attach photos.
I have the same update for ios 14.3 and the same version of gmail 6.0.201115 at both mobiles iphone 7 and iphone 12 pro max.
So thats is a good info i believe to help somebody to find the solution and to help us

The fix:
- Uninstall Gmail and reinstall. Make sure it’s not open.
- Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
- iPhone will reboot and clear settings.
- You should be good to go.
You must make sure you allow access to Photos in Gmail settings. Settings >Gmail >All Photos
It sucks that you’ll lose a few minor things; Apple Pay Card, Wallpaper settings.. but the fix worked immediately.
Good luck!

Also I found after doing this I followed the above steps and it just attached them all normally. Selecting and sharing to an email from the Photos app still does not work.
