Can I send a fax by email? I do not have a land line.

I am trying to send a fax via gmail since I do not have a land line--only a cell phone. I have a DELL desktop and an ASUS laptop. Windows Fax and Scan says I can do this but I can't find out how. If any one has a suggestion I would very much appreciate hearing it.

Why don't you use online fax services? They support the Email to Fax feature and some of them even let you send a few pages for free.

I have personally tried FAX.PLUS and Hellofax and they both deliver a perfect online faxing experience.

You can send free faxes from your email using both services and of course there are different plans to upgrade to, in case you wish to send more pages.

Thanks, Laura! I was looking for a solution, too. I used Hellofax, which worked great. 5 free pages, and after that it's $0.99 per fax, with the free account. Seems like a reasonable deal.
