Snapchat emails me a "verify email" message but I never signed up for a Snapchat account...
Yesterday, I received an email from Snapchat that looked legit. It was in Dutch (I'm in the US) and had a link to "verify email" however I never signed up for a Snapchat account. I reported the email without clicking any links, thinking that it was a phishing attempt.
This morning I got another email from Snapchat, also in Dutch. When I click "show original" and scroll down I see this:
Welcome to Snapchat!=20
Hi {0},
We wanted to confirm that your new Snapchat account is registered and good =
to go.=20
Snapchat is for sharing moments with the people you're closest to.
To get s=
tarted, let's find some Snapchatters you know!
This is your Snapcode!
Send it to friends so they can add you on Snapchat.
Thanks,

Now, the "HI{0}," placeholder in the email shows the supposed Snapchat user name, which I don't know if I should post here but it's something like bdunkee20.
I have been trying to find a way to forward these emails to Snapchat or even to Google but it doesn't seem possible.
I didn't click the "confirm email" button in the previous email. Why am I getting a second email saying that "my new" Snapchat account has been registered and ready to use?
Have other Gmail users received similar emails from Snapchat?
Thank you.
