New swipe options were recently introduced in the Gmail app for IOS. This is a great idea for moving messages from the in box and was overdue. As of today the option has been removed on IPad however it still remains on IPhone. Only the basic swipe option for delete is working. Both devices are on the same build 6.0.190309. Why was it removed and will it be back ?

I shall try to check for info but ad interim, can you please send a feedback directly to the team from that option in the Gmail iOS app?

I just got a pop up in the IOS Gmail app notifying about the new swipe options however they only appear to be working when I select an individual inbox. The option is not working when I select “all inboxes” when monitoring several accounts.

That shouldn't be the case. I don't have an iPad with me to test this for you right now, but the swipe does work for me on All Inboxes, as intended, on my iPhone. Let me check if I am able to reach out to any of my peers to confirm this for you.

It’s not working on my iPhone when the “All inboxes” is selected. Only the individual inboxes.

That's odd. How exactly does the behaviour differ under All Inboxes vis-a-vis individual ones?

Have you tried the basic troubleshooting options like 
  • Closing the app and opening it again
  • Powering down the device and powering it back up again

It only shows the option to swipe to the right (delete) when in the All Inboxes. If I move to an individual inbox both swipe left and right are available. This is occurring on both iPhone and iPad under the current release. Earlier today it wasn’t working on my iPad but was on the iPad ( swipe left and right under individual inbox). Yes I have done a restart etc.

Can you please include the device and OS details - the device model and the iOS version in both your iPhone and iPad?
