Problem in using Gmail with my my existing non-Google email address
The image is not visible due to forum settings.
For Gmail, Google navigates me to a page, asking me to submit a Gmail address so that it is defined as the primary one. The existing non-Gmail address would be the alternate.
The point is I don't want to set up a separate Gmail account. I have used different browsers and devices for this matter, I even used the incognito version, which did not work. I even searched for the answer in Gemini, it left me unanswered too.
I decided to ask for help in the community. There s a screenshot of the page.

That's NOT what I said. Clearly, you can't use Gmail if you don't have a Gmail address.
What am I missing here?

...unfortunately there is one exception: Gmail.
I'm a little confused as to why you are confused. Clearly, if you don't have a Gmail address, you can't access the Gmail product. If you want to use Gmail, you have to add a Gmail address to your Google account.. If you don't want a Gmail address, you can't use Gmail.

I am still confused.
As you said, I would be able to use Gmail using my non-Gmail address and I wouldn't need to do anything, but that's not what's happening here. When I click on Gmail service in my Google account, it always navigates me to a page where I have to submit a Gmail address, or I am not allowed here, as illustrated in the image.
What am I missing here?
