How can I turn off Read Receipts

How do I turn off read receipts? Messages I'm sending are showing when I read them. I do not want this to occur.

Gmail accounts don't have read receipts. G Suite accounts (NOT @gmail.com) have read-receipts, but I think you can control them in settings.

Messages I'm sending are showing when I read them.

I don't understand this. If you're SENDING the message, then you aren't reading it. Perhaps post a screen-shot of just what it is you are seeing.

Would also like to turn off read receipts. I don't want to send them and I DON'T want to be ASKED to send them with a Popup when the send requests a read receipt. Don't see a setting to turn this off. Don't ask, don't send.

I'm thinking this is what they are looking for.

This is for a gsuite account.

This is for a gsuite account.

Contact your G Suite administrator for help disabling the read-receipt feature for the domain (I doubt they can disable it per account).
