Apple email client Sent Box is Empty after Catalina Update on 8th October 2 Recommended Answers 48 Replies 100 Upvotes

I updated to the official Catalina OS X this morning and since then my SENT box in Apple email is empty. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the email account, I have tried to rebuild it, but nothing seems to work. If I send a new email from the Apple client, it does appear in the SENT folder for a few minutes and then disappears.

Same problem.  Funny though.  Works fine with GSuite mail.  Just not Gmail.  Tried on both 2015 and 2016 Macbook Pros

Same here. Tried rebuilding the "sent" folder and thrasing all the prefs in the library, but that didn't solve it. If I go into the web version of gmail I can still see everything sitting in the "sent" folder, same on the iphone, but the Mac email client's "sent" folder remains empty. If I write an a new email and immiditately go to the "sent" folder I can literally see it vanish before my eyes.

Zredna - Yes, exactly this is what is happening with me. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. I even spent a lot of time with Apple Care, but all they did was ask me to Synchronise the account again, start in safe mode, create another account in Mac etc, but nothing works. I just hope apple recognises the issue and posts a new version of Catalina to tackle this issue

I can find the sent emails in the sent folder on my iPhone even though they aren't on my mac after converting to Catalina.
