These are the 3 ways to deal with unsolicited emails:
  1. Mark it as Spam - This helps Google's algorithm, which is based on multiple factors to better recognize spam. But this is time consuming.
  2. Block Sender - Sends all future emails from that email address under Spam. Effective immediately.
  3. Create filters - Helps to keep unsolicited emails off of the inbox, but doesn't mark them as spam.
So, depending on how the messages show up, you can choose to use the best way to deal with them. If you can share more details, we can discuss these options in greater detail.

In my case, the unsolicited porn emails use an algorithm to change the sender address each time.  Impossible to block without a wild card.
Also, they only show up in my gmail account inside outlook, not in my gmail account on the web on my laptop.
Why do they not show in my Gmail webmail, but they show in my Outlook Gmail IMAP/SMTP account in Outlook/Microsoft 365?
Any help would be appreciated.

Under which folder in your Outlook mail client do you see those spams get collected?

With such emails, the best option is to create a filter using the commonly used matching words and have all matching emails get archived and collected under a label for future inspection for false positives.

Hi - they are being sent directly to the spam folder in my Outlook.  My gmail web mail does not have a spam folder.
I have been permanently deleting each and every one of them in Outlook.
Thinking I will now move them to my detected items folder in outlook which will put them back in Webmail.  Then I can report them to Google from the Webmail.
Then I can delete them permanently in my Outlook.
My gmail web mail does not have a spam folder.

-- It absolutely does. :)

The https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#spam will directly take you there, as would the in:spam search in the Gmail search bar.

A scroll of the left-side panel may also reveal the spam label, as would the list of labels under the Labels tab under Gmail settings: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/labels

If they are collected under the Spam label in OUtlook, it means the spam detection system is working as expected and you do not need to worry about it. Emails collected under Spam automatically get purged after 30 days.

Thank you so much!!!
I have unhidden the spam folder in my webmail.
I will likely continue to delete the emails permanently in Outlook - I don't like seeing them.
Also, I am trying to put the domain name in my Blacklist in my ESET - using a wildcard to get around the autogenerated "From" value.  But the "*" wildcard does not work.
Any ideas for me there?
Here is what I have that is not working... @*.*.hpool.online
I want it to be *@*.*.hpool.online but the leading * wont stay in place.
Again - many thanks for your help.
Also, I am trying to put the domain name in my Blacklist in my ESET

Thanks again.  I started with ESET, since I think it is their problem.  They were of little help, but I didn't ask about the wild card in the ESET blacklist at the time I spoke with them.
I was trying the Outlook Rules which are not very effective.
Might try ESET again.
thanks,
