Contact name issue

Give them nicknames maybe, and when sending an email, insert the nick?

However, perhaps I was not that clear, I have nicknames e.g. Uncle bob etc. as quoted before, the issue is when I receive emails, if they call themselves Bob on their outgoing mail it arrives with their name all reading exactly the same and not with my nicknames to distinguish them.

Hence Uncle Bob could get a reply that should of gone to Bobby boy, where a totally different relationship exist, therefore a very different reply was warranted, the chat there and the different  sense-of-humours could take this reply very differently (badly obviously the main issue), also potential sensitive or privileged information could be sent to the wrong Bob or put at risk.

Just checked one of my similar contacts, with a nick in the email address I have set up.  i.e "first nick last" in contacts.

 

Seems to pick up the sender's details as they have set them up at their end.

 

You can hover over the sender and your contact details will show, if the nick is part of the email address.

 

 

Thanks again, even though that seems to be a no.

I have scanned the net and seen the same question repeated in several guises, variants and no good answer is apparently out there.

Can this be forwarded to the Dev team for comment.

Don't hold you breath waiting for a reply, would be moist unusual, but Google engineers are said to read these feedback suggestions.
