Hello Robert,
Where is the image stored that you wish to put into the signature?

I did see a trick to where you can send a email to yourself, with the image from your desktop uploaded to it. Then you can copy from that email and paste it into the signature. Give that a try.
Here is a Link to a post by Product Expert icantchooseone with other ideas.

To insert a logo or similar in your signature, please see this forum thread https://goo.gl/7UGJ6C
From that link, if it is no longer available:-
Try uploading the image on a image hosting site, copy the URL, and paste the URL into the signature block.
- Upload the image you want to link in your signature to an image sharing website
- Make sure it is PUBLICLY available and not private to you or limited to certain groups. You can also upload your image to your Google Drive then click Insert Image in the signature tools settings to select it. Make sure to not delete the image from Drive as long as you need it for signature
- Open the image from it’s new location
- Right click the image and copy the URL
- Go back to your signature block
- In Gmail > Settings (cog/gear icon) > Settings > General > Signature
- Click Insert Image
- Paste the URL you just copied
- Save settings
And make sure that you are completely signed out of all other accounts.
Images with a clickable link hidden in them may be seen as Spam by Google, and your mail may be rejected, or sent to the recipient's Spam label. Your account may also be blocked by Google.
Signatures on devices need to be set up separately, on each device, and are not able to contain a logo/image.

I would ask you to please stand up and locate your company motto if this were pre-Alphabet days.
We are in desperate need of innovation to reverse this invasive, authoritarian technological landscape/stanglehold. Kids! Put your phones down and save yourselves!
I decided it was worth adding another 2 minutes to the 28 wasted on attempting autonomy in my email signature to let you know that we see you.
"Google CEO Sundar Pichai kicked off the company’s keynote at its I/O developers’ conference with the idea that it’s shifting from “a company that helps you find answers to a company that helps you get things done.” Google has long been so much more than a simple search engine, and he and other execs proceeded to demo a handful of new products and features meant to integrate the company even more deeply into a person’s daily life, whether on their phone, in the car or at home."
