Hello Muni

Look like you are sending bulk messages. Free Gmail accounts are limited and not allowing bulk mail messages.

Are you too many messages in a single day?

The daily limit sending via POP/IMAP connections (using a mail client such as Live Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird etc.) is 100 messages per 24 hours. The daily limit if sending through a web interface at https://mail.google.com/ is 500 emails per 24 hours.

Each "To', "CC" and "BCC" counts as one individual email. So if you have one "To" and ten "BCC", that counts as eleven emails.  Gmail is not a bulk emailing service, and emails with multiple To/CC/BCC addresses (or any combination), may be completely rejected by Google, in which case you will need to consider MailChimp, or similar.

This is an absolute limit, not an entitlement. New or recent accounts may have lesser limits imposed, until their reputation over time is established.

If you suddenly change your mailing habits, such as sending heaps of messages when you only sent a few before, (especially with attachments) Google may think that your account has been hacked, sending spam, or just unusual activity, and lock the account for 24 hours.

If you are using a mail client (Thunderbird, Outlook, Live Mail etc etc to send, any unsent messages will remain in your Outbox; the client will keep trying, and your account will remain locked. Clear the Outbox if this refers to your situation.

These limits apply to the free version of Gmail (account ends in "@gmail.com"); if using G Suite ($), higher limits may apply. G Suite is more robust, and designed for business use.

If you exceed these quotas, or send any mail which Google see as unusual activity from your account (especially a new account), you will be locked out of the account for 24 hours; continual violation may result in your account being closed for violation of Google Terms of Service ; you may be unable to recover that account under any circumstances.

The Bulk Sender's Guidelines will also need to be considered. (If sending from a domain). This badly worded Guideline title refers to ALL domain senders, not just bulk senders.

Bulk mails only but by using Yet Another Mail Merge which is Google Ad-on

Being an add in doesn't mean supported by Google, as this is not a Google product.

You may be better off considering MailChimp, or similar.

I am receiving the same response - "You have reached a limit for sending mail. Your message was not sent"

I have not sent out 500 emails in any 24 hour period.  Is there a way to check and prove the number of emails sent?

I have this message coming up on my screen when try and send emails.

You have reached a limit for sending mail. Your message was not sent.

It started around 4pm on 27 May - do I have to wait until 4pm 28 May before I can send again? I have never had this problem before and have been using gmail for around 6 years. How come this has all of a sudden changed?
