I have 4 gmail accounts. I want to delete one account without deleting the others. How can I do it?

I have read the suggestions and questions in help. I think I can delete the account, I'm scared I will delete my other accounts also.

no it wont delete the others

Thank you for replying. I appreciate your help.  I have two questions: Do I need to log out of the emails that I am not deleting?
Have you done this yourself?

you dont need to log out but it is advisable if you are not tech savvy
