How can I stop my emails from automatically archiving?
1
I am currently having an issue with my emails. I have a regular Google account.

For over a week, my emails have been automatically archiving. This is very inconvenient as I have to go through all of my messages in order to find them.

I contacted someone at Google One for support and I was told to change one of the filters under the settings. The problem is that I do not see any filter that I can turn off in order to stop this from happening. See pic below.

Should I hit the "Hide "Send & Archive" button in reply" instead?

I agree, none of your filters use the "skip the inbox" option.  Oh, and THANKS for the screen-shot.  So, let's look elsewhere...

Are there any forwarding accounts setup in:  Settings -> Forwarding ?

Do you access your account with an e-mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Pocomail, etc), a mobile app (iOS, Android, etc), an e-mail notifier, or any other add-on/tool/web-site/etc connected to your account?

Check Settings -> Accounts -> Change Account Settings -> Other Google account settings -> Security (left column) -> Third-party apps with account access -> Manage third-party access.  This MAY work as a direct link:  https://myaccount.google.com/u/0/permissions .   Have you given account access to any other web-sites or utilities?

Please check the Details link below the Inbox (lower/right).  What are all the types of account access listed there (posting a screen-shot may best)?

Thanks for replying!

Do you think this has to do with the POP being enabled? If we were to disable it, do you think that this would stop the forwarding?

Thanks!

POP3 being enabled allows other accounts to fetch messages from it.  One of the options is what to do with the messages after they've been fetched.  So yes, POP fetching with it set to archive the messages could result in what you are seeing.

I would hope that you know if you have another account configured to fetch messages.
