Why is the wrong name displayed for emails from a contact?
Recent emails I have received from a contact in my contact list are appearing under a wrong name in my inbox. Older emails received from this person's email address show the correct name, but recent emails show the wrong name. This person's email address is not associated with any other contact in my contact list; it is only used in the contact I created for this person. Why can't I see the correct name?
Hi Eliza, the name that appears on an incoming message is the name set by the sender. Nothing you can do to alter it. If the name is unexpected, let the sender know that something has gone amiss in their account.

Hi Mary, this topic was about incoming messages, you are asking about outgoing messages. To change that name, open Settings > Accounts and Import, go to the Send Mail as entry and click on edit info.
