I want to block all email that contains the following URL in a link.

The HTML looks like this:
<a href=3D"https://storage.googleapis.com/issosales/hrefly.html#?Z289MSZzM= T0xMDY3MzEyJnMyPTUwOTI4NjE3JnMzPUdMQg" target=3D"_blank">

Email filters don't work as they don't appear to search inside HTML and don't like "special" characters like "/". Even filtering on just 'issosales' doesn't work.

I asked this question before and was told to ask the sender to stop, then my question was closed to further responses. Not sure exactly how I'm supposed to stop a spammer. I would request people only give an answer if they have a useful response.

-- Do you get this from multiple email addresses from that sender that you need to consider creating a filter and not just use the block sender feature? 
 
Also, it is possible to take a look at your filter definition after redacting for privacy?

Yes, the email addresses and subject lines are always different.

I shall pass this issue over to the team at Gmail for a look-in. But it could be that they might not be able to fix anything immediately, especially if it is a technical constraint. 

I shall also request that you send this as feedback to the team by clicking the "?" support icon in the Gmail web UI. The team is known to read all feedback submitted to them, although they may not respond back unless they desire additional information related to the topic of your feedback. The purpose of sending Feedback is to give the team a measure of the volume of users been affected by an issue or requesting a particular feature. The larger the volume of users asking for a feature or reporting a bug, the higher priority it assumes.

Finally, please keep continuing to (a) block those senders to keep your inbox clean and (b) report them as spam to pass the details over to the Gmail spam team who can then better define their spam filtering algorithm.

Sigh.

Yeah, email is effectively USELESS due to the amount of spam we are subjected to on a daily -- even an hourly basis.  Even if crap is  successfully caught and filtered by Google gmail filters then there is SO MUCH OF IT in the Spam folder that it's impossible to easily filter out the false positives. 

My solution is to use the https://script.google.com cloud-runner and write my own a JavaScript routine to connect to my Gmail inbox and loop through anything in the spam folder, and then throw ANYTHING that meets the following criteria into the trash bin:

1) any presence of unicode characters in the subject; spammers love to stuff like add emojis.  BOOM!  Incinerated!

2) any presence of the string issosales in the message rawContent()

It runs periodically throughout the day and keeps me sane.
