Does gmail reveal my IP address when I send an email?

This question is not clearly answered in the archives.  One Top Contributor (gravi_t) claims the answer is no, and he/she refers to a more-or-less authoritative-looking page, but that page says that gmail MAY hide IP info in some circumstances.  What I'd like is a simple yes or no.  Can my recipients see or discover my IP address?

When you send through your browser, the browser's IP address is not included in the outgoing message.  When you send through SMTP (from an external email program), your IP address is included.

Levels

Member levels indicate a user's level of participation in a forum. The greater the participation, the higher the level. Everyone starts at level 1 and can rise to level 10. These activities can increase your level in a forum:

  • Post an answer.
  • Having your answer selected as the best answer.
  • Having your post rated as helpful.
  • Vote up a post.
  • Correctly mark a topic or post as abuse.

Having a post marked and removed as abuse will slow a user's advance in levels.
