Googlegroups forwarding isn't working--please help!

Explain your issue in full detail here: I've been sending select emails from my Gmail account to a Googlegroup for the past few weeks, but all of a sudden 90% of them have started bouncing back to my Gmail account and I can't figure out why. The error message:

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

    ***********emailar...@googlegroups.com [asterisks inserted here]

Technical details of permanent failure:
Nested groups detected

Hi mediumsmalltime, are you using Google Apps?

Thank you for responding, Dingus!! I really appreciate the help. No, I don't believe I am using Google Apps (that's not the same as Google Labs right?)

Hi mediumsmalltime, see the help references to troubleshoot that.  The first one is a general reference on bounces, the second one details a section on bounces in the instance that the account has been compromised, and the last one is the Gmail Security Checklist that you'll want to use to secure the account in the event that you discover it's been compromised.

Hi Dingus, thank you for those, but none addresses the particular bounceback that I'm getting -- "nested groups detected." This wasn't a problem until last week, and I can't figure out what's causing it!

Hi Dingus,

In particular, none of the error messages in the troubleshooting tool addresses the issue I'm having.

Thank you so much for your help!

 Here they are:

Please select the error message you received.

'Connection timed out'
'Could not contact DNS2 servers'
'The recipient server did not accept our requests to connect'
'Message rejected. See http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=69585 for more information.'
'This Gmail user does not exist. Please try doublechecking the recipient's email address for typos or unnecessary spaces.'
'Parse Error: Illegal To: address (invalid domain name)'
'The Gmail user you are trying to contact is receiving mail at a rate that prevents...'
'Gmail tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected...'

Hi mediumsmalltime, there's a contact link in the help reference for message rejection that you can use.  Then you can supply the full headers.  Also, use the Gmail Security Checklist.

March 26 2012. Suddenly forwarding messages just stopped working and all messages are being rejected with "Nested groups detected". *Nothing* was changed our end and has worked since June 2004.

Conclusion something has changed on Google Groups End.

Is anybody investigating this?
