Giacomo RossiGmail app not working with Hotmail accounts after Android Marshmallow 6.0
2 Recommended AnswersHi,
I've read a lot of topics like the one I'm writing, but it seems that no one at Google is actually doing anything about it, so I guess that the only way is to keep the pressure up.Community content may not be verified or up-to-date. Learn more.

This topic started quite some time after Lollipop (Android 6.0) was first introduced and when the Gmail was at about version 5.7. The exact behaviour being discussed is different from post to post and it has become difficult to follow the topic and slow to navigate to recent posts, so I'm going to lock this thread (and mark this as a best answer just to make it appear at the top of the thread.).
Owners of any post that still needs followup should create a new topic copying and pasting your previous post selecting the most applicable categories.

Andy B.Hi everyone,
I can confirm that upgrading to the Gmail Android app 5.10 should fix this issue, which should be available to 100% of users.
Thanks again for your patience!
Andy

catzrulePersonally I haven't seen many reports of that at all, but have you tried allowing for less secure apps?

Do you get any error messages? If so, exact text would help!

catzruleYou are not being rude. LOL must have missed those.
I will seek advice on this for you - if no response within seven days, please come back.
In the meanwhile, try deleting those accounts, turn off handset, turn on, and re-installing.
Can you let me know if this helps?

Roberto PiliI have exactly the same issue

Roberto PiliI have found a solution that works for me. If you go to settings in the Gmail app, choose the mailbox and then sync manually, it should be fixed.
There I could also see there was a sync error.
