I am trying to get my NYU email (through GMail) on my regular GMail account, but can't.

I am trying to get my NYU email to come to my normal GMail account. The NYU email account is @nyu.edu, but it is run through GMail. However, when I go to Mail settings, then click on Accounts and Import, and then add POP3 email account, I cannot get it to add the NYU email. It says that I need to contact someone. How do I do this? I know that there are different ports and POP servers. What combination works?

Check if POP downloading is enabled for your NYU account:

Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP → POP Download: Enable POP for all mail

So I did check, and it was disabled. I enabled POP for all mail, and then returned to my original gmail account to set it up. However, the same error message keeps popping up. That is:

Server returned error: "Connection timed out: There may be a problem with the settings you added. Please contact your other email provider to verify the correct server name and port."

Any suggestions on what to do next? I know it should work because I already have forward from my work gmail account, and that works fine.
