Suddenly I can't send, getting error "(0X800CCC7): Your outgoing server SMTP does not support SSL -secured connections"

Explain your issue in full detail here:Suddenly I cannot send emails.  Error message: "(0X800CCC7) Your outgoing server SMTP does not support SSL-secured connections....".   This has never happened before.  What can I do?

Operating system (e.g. WinXP): Vista
Program and version you use to access Gmail (e.g. Internet Explorer 7 or Outlook 2003): O/L 2003 
Your antivirus software (e.g. Norton 2007): Bitdefender 2010
Any extensions, toolbars or plug-ins:

1. Verify that your settings are correct:
a) Server is smtp.gmail.com or smtp.googlemail.com
b) SSL or TSL is enabled
c) Outgoing port is 465, 587, or 25
d) Outgoing server authentication is enabled (login same as incoming)

2. Check if antivirus is interfering. Disable antivirus check of outgoing mail.

3. Run Captcha

4. Update your email client to latest configuration. If using Outlook 2002, verify that SP3 is installed.

5. Check if your ISP is blocking Gmail. You may need to use your ISP SMTP server.
