I can sign into gmail with no problem, but then none of my messages open. I just getting the "loading" notice.

Explain your issue in full detail here:
I can't open any of the emails I have been sent, nor can I open the help menu from gmail or any of the settings buttons.  All I get is the "loading" message.

Others have reported similar problems and the following have helped some people...

First, try clearing your browser's cookies and cache and restarting.

If that doesn't work, try switching to Basic HTML mode as a temporary fix.  Some people have success using one or the other of the following URLs to sign-in to the Basic version:

Thanks for trying.  Both of those email addresses still put my own account into a tail spin.   I've tried my account on about 6 PCs, and I've rebuilt my pc.  It doesn't help.  There is something wrong with my account on the server, and google needs to look at accounts like the ones mentioned on all these threads and move us to a new server.  But, there is no one to call.

Levels

Member levels indicate a user's level of participation in a forum. The greater the participation, the higher the level. Everyone starts at level 1 and can rise to level 10. These activities can increase your level in a forum:

  • Post an answer.
  • Having your answer selected as the best answer.
  • Having your post rated as helpful.
  • Vote up a post.
  • Correctly mark a topic or post as abuse.

Having a post marked and removed as abuse will slow a user's advance in levels.
