Error message when starting Gmail for the 1st time

I downloaded Gmail onto my new BB Bold and I am trying to start up Gmail the first time. A fourth of the way through downloading a message appears "Bad Content-type". What does this mean and what do I do?

I have a Verizon BB Storm 2 and the app won't even load.  When I start Gmail it shows the loading bar and before it even gets a third on the way loaded "bad content-type" appears under the loading bar and the app freezes there.  I had Gmail working fine before on my BB Curve 8330, I really liked it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  I am very surprised that Google seems to have now idea what I am talking about with that error message.
