Gmail Verified Sender Program Pilot - Committee Registration & Verification

The Gmail Verified Sender Program Pilot (the "Pilot") is open to authorized candidate committees, political party committees, and leadership political action committees that are actively registered with the United States Federal Election Commission (FEC) during the 2022 election cycle.

Out of scope for this pilot: Non-political bulk senders, other federal political committees (including Super PACs and Hybrid PACs), non-federal political committees, other types of organizations (including but not limited to businesses, non-profits), and individuals.

In order to complete the registration process, you will need to:

  • Identify a single contact person for the Committee who will be responsible for completing the verification process and other Pilot requirements. The contact person will be provided updates with their status in the Pilot and updates on any troubleshooting requests. The contact person should be an authorized representative of the Committee.
  • Access to the Committee's email address listed on the Committee's FEC Form 1. A unique verification code will be sent to this email address which the contact person will be required to retrieve in order to verify affiliation to the FEC committee.
  • List of domains (up to 5) used to send bulk emails for the Committee. Example: abcforcongress.org
  • Prior to submitting this form, set up Postmaster Tools for each domain, using a Google account.
  • Review and agree to the Pilot requirements and Pilot Policies.

NOTE: You will need to ensure you implement the technical changes (e.g. authentication standards) necessary to meet the Message-Based Delivery Requirements for your campaign emails to be eligible.

Domains to be Registered for Sending Bulk Email

You can register up to 5 domains. Domains must be active for 30 days prior to applying, registered in Postmaster Tools, regularly send bulk emails, and send email campaigns at least once every 14 days.

Access to the Pilot will be granted at the committee level. If a single domain violates our Terms and Conditions or Policies, access to the Pilot will be suspended or terminated for all domains affiliated with the committee.

NOTE: If you are a current participant in the Pilot who is verifying additional domains, please provide a complete list of all domains to be used for sending bulk email.
