Forward a chat message to Gmail

You can forward individual or multiple messages to your Gmail inbox. To send the last 4 messages from a Chat conversation to your inbox, use the “Forward to inbox” tool. 

  • Messages may take up to 2 minutes to appear in your inbox.
  • If you turn off chat history, forwarded messages stay in your inbox.
  1. On your computer, open Gmail.
  2. Open the Chat message or space window.
  3. Point to the message and click Forward to inbox "".
  4. To find the forwarded message, go to your Gmail inbox.
