Start a new conversation thread in Chat in Gmail

To discuss different topics in a space, use conversation threads.

Important: To create a threaded space, you need a Google Workspace account. Google Workspace users can add personal Google Account users as guests to threaded spaces.

1. Open the Gmail app .
2. At the bottom, tap Spaces .
3. Select a space or search for another space.
4. Tap New thread   Create your message  Send .
