Create a Gmail signature

An email signature is text, like your contact information or a favorite quote, that’s automatically added at the end of Gmail messages as a footer.

Note: To learn how to recreate your Outlook signatures in Gmail, visit section 2.5 of the Learning Center.

Add or change a signature

The signature you create in the Gmail app will show for any messages you send from the app. If you have a signature that you created on your computer, that will be used for any messages you send from Gmail on the web.

  2. In the top left, tap Menu Menu.
  3. Scroll to the bottom, then tap Settings.
  4. Choose the Google Account where you want to add a signature.
  5. Tap Signature.
  6. Enter the text for your signature.
  7. Tap OK.
