If you get unwanted emails, you can block the sender in Gmail. After you've blocked the sender, all future emails from them will go to spam.
Block a sender
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gmail app

- Open the message from the sender.
- At the top right, next to Reply
, tap More

Tip: If you can't find the sender's message, you may find it in Spam. To locate the sender's message, at the top left, tap Menu

- If you get frequent promotional emails and newsletters but don't want to block the sender, unsubscribe from the emails.
Manage suspicious emails
Important: If someone uses Gmail to harass, intimidate or threaten you, they're violating Gmail's programme policies. If you feel that you're in danger, contact your local authorities immediately and ask whether any cyber harassment laws apply to your situation.
- While Gmail tries to keep spam out of your inbox, some spam may get through. If you get spam in your inbox, you can report it.
- If you find a suspicious email that asks for personal information, you can report the email for phishing.
