You can get Gmail to check the spelling and grammar of your emails as you write.
- On your computer, open Gmail.
- Click Settings
See all settings.
- At the top, click General.
- Change your settings for these tools:
- Grammar
- Spelling
- Auto-correct
Tip: A dashed line will temporarily appear in blue for grammar or red for spelling suggestions. To undo a change, click the underlined word Undo.

Use Auto-correct with a screen reader
You can still use Auto-correct with a screen reader. To undo a change, use your arrow keys to find the underlined word, press Tab
