Compromised Gmail account

Your account may have been compromised if you’ve experienced any of the following issues:

  • Your contacts have received suspicious messages from your address
  • Contacts and/or mail have gone missing, and you’ve already tried the tips on our missing messages troubleshooter, such as searching your mail and checking your settings
  • You’ve received a warning about suspicious activity from your Last account activity

Take action

I can still sign in to my account
If your account has been compromised, but you’re still able to sign in to your account, make sure to follow the steps in the security checklist to help protect your account from the bad guys.
I can’t sign in to my account
If you can’t sign in to your account, your login credentials may have been changed. Please fill out our account recovery form to help us process your request as quickly as possible.
