I can't sign in to my account
If you're having problems signing in to your Gmail account, follow these steps to regain access.
Make sure your keyboard:
- Doesn't have caps lock on
- Is in the correct language
If that doesn't help, learn how to change or reset your password.
Make sure your email address has:
- No extra space in the middle of your username
- Only one "@" sign
- The full domain name, like "@gmail.com" instead of "@gmail"
If that doesn't help, go to the username recovery page. Try entering any email address you might've used to sign up.
If there's unusual activity on your account, you might be locked out of your Gmail account. It takes between one minute and 24 hours for your account to be unlocked. There aren't any steps you can take to unlock the account sooner.
Why Gmail accounts get locked
Gmail locks accounts if there's unusual activity, such as using a browser extension or software that automatically sends or reads messages.
