Summary cards are available in Gmail for the web and in the app for Android, iPhone and iPad.
How summary cards work
To show you the important information from your email, summary cards will display at the top of your inbox.
For example, you can:
- Find an order delivery status and bookings.
- Invite others to your events on Google Calendar.
- Create a task to remind you about an upcoming bill.
Summary cards are generated based on the information from your email. If you notice anything incorrect about the summary card, click the feedback icons or
below the card.
Show or hide summary cards in Gmail
Important: By default, smart features are turned off if you're in:
- The European Economic Area
- Japan
- Switzerland
- The United Kingdom
To show or hide summary cards in Gmail:
- Turn smart features on or off for Gmail, Chat and Meet. Learn more about smart features for Gmail, Chat and Meet.
- Turn on conversation view. Learn how to turn on conversation view.
- Tip: If you turn off your summary cards, you don't need to disable conversation view. This feature is only required for summary cards to show.
Tips:
- If you don't get a summary card or the summary card has limited information, there may not be enough details in the email. To request another provider for summary cards, you can submit feedback in Gmail.
