Conversation summary in spaces

To stay updated on long, unread conversations in spaces where you’re a member, use conversation summary.

Important: Conversation summaries currently only:

• Appear when necessary in conversations.
• Summarize conversations in English.
• Are available on Google Workspace accounts.

To turn conversation summary on & off in Google Chat:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chat app .
2. At the top left, tap Menu   Settings .
3. Select your account.
4. Scroll to “General.”
5. Check or uncheck the box next to “Conversation summary”

To turn conversation summary on & off in Gmail:

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open Gmail .
2. Tap Menu   Settings .
3. Select your account.
4. Scroll to "General."
5. Check or uncheck the box next to “Conversation summary”
