Who is the target audience for Machine Learning Crash Course?

We've written Machine Learning Crash Course for technically minded people who are new to machine learning or just want a refresher. We recommend that you are at least:

  • Okay with intro-level algebra. The sight of simple equations (like, y = 3x + 2) should fill you with happiness rather than terror. You find graphs strangely comforting. If you understand more advanced math concepts like derivatives, then you'll also enjoy the course's optional math supplements.
  • Cozy with basic statistics. You understand mean and standard deviation and can interpret a histogram.
Ideally, proficient in Python. If you don't yet write code, you can still benefit enormously from Machine Learning Crash Course. However, you'll get even more from the course by doing the programming exercises. The Python code in the exercises is relatively easy, requiring only an understanding of basic concepts, such as function invocations and variable assignments.
