This article helps you to find if your ad is disapproved or limited by policy, why your ad is disapproved or eligible (limited). This also outlines the process to edit and resubmit your ads for review, along with the steps to appeal a policy decision.

Before you begin
Check if your account is impacted by an account suspension or has a disapproval on a vertical level. You can view that by going to the Policy Manager.
If your ad is impacted by an account suspension, use the appeal option under the policy violated in the Policy manager.
If your ad is impacted by a disapproval, follow the below steps.
Fix a disapproved ad
If any of your ads are impacted by a policy violation, the ad may not be able to run. You can consult the Policy Manager on your account to view the policy violation impacting your ad.
Edit and resubmit your ad
If your ad is affected by policies, below are steps to fix the ad:
- Find the ad you want to fix on your Local Services Ads account
- Select the menu icon
and go to the Policy Manager
- Select ¨Read the policy¨ under the disapproval reason to learn more about your policy violation
- Select ¨Contact us to fix this¨ if you would like to fix the issue preventing your ad from serving
- Fill out the form to connect with one of our support representatives for assistance
- Your ad will be automatically reviewed again once the disapproval reason is fixed. Check the ad’s status in the “Policy manager” page for updates.
Note: The edits to fix your ad vary depending on the type of policy violation and the type of ad. Some disapproval types might require an appeal rather than a fix.
Appeal policy decision
The option to appeal a policy decision is available for most formats and policies. If you have a disapproved ad, review the sections below or use the Policy Manager under the appeal button.
Follow below instructions on how to fill in the appeal form:
- Select a Google Ads Customer ID
- Type “Ad disapproved” on the "Tell us what we can help with" field
- Select the “Ad disapproved” option
- Choose the contact option you prefer (You might have email, chat or phone, depending on the hours of operation and agent availability)
- When selecting email, follow the instructions below to fill out the form:
- What would you like us to review?: Ads
- Have you used Self Service Appeals (SSA)?: No
- Policy that applies to your situation?: Editorial Policy or Other (policy not listed)
- Type "Local Service ads" on Campaign name and Ad group name
