Local Guides Connect is an online forum where you can get to know other Local Guides, share your discoveries, keep up to date on the latest product info and more. You can also suggest improvements for the Local Guides programme and features on Google Maps. In addition, many Local Guides visit Connect to learn more about photography, food and travel.
Sign up for Connect
To join Local Guides Connect, visit the forum and sign in with your Google account. Then, you can start a discussion and reply to other members’ posts. You can also customise your community experience and more.
We encourage Local Guides to visit Connect often and participate.
- Go to Local Guides Connect.
- In the top right corner, click your profile photo.
- Click My Settings
Advanced Settings.
- To confirm, click the Close Account tab
Advanced Settings.After you close your Connect account, your posts will remain on the forum. However, they will be attributed to “Anonymous” rather than your username. Please note: you cannot add your username back to your content once your Connect account has been closed.
