Personal information correction request form

For privacy reasons, you may have the right to ask for certain personal information displayed in local listings relating to you to be corrected. This form is for requesting the correction of personal information (e.g., name, address, phone number) on local listings displayed on services such as Google Search and Google Maps. 

Please read this form carefully. Any requests not pertaining to the correction of personal information on a local listing will not be processed. 

If you want to request the removal of personal information from a local listing, please submit a removal request using the Personal information removal request form. For removal requests relating to another Google service, please use the Removing Content From Google page.

To the extent any business information (e.g., name, address, telephone number) constitutes personal information, Google LLC is the controller responsible for the processing of such information for the purposes of creating and displaying local listings, as well as of the personal information processed for purposes of handling correction requests for such local listings sent through this form.

If you (or the relevant individual) have already asked us to correct information at URLs containing similar content, we can help you more quickly if you reply to the email we sent you (or the relevant individual) instead of sending a new notice.

If you would rather send us a new notice, enter the 14-digit reference number from the previous request. As an example, the format will be similar to 1-1111000001111. You can find the reference number in the subject line of the email we sent in response to the previous request.

Please read the instructions below for how to find a local listing URL. This is the URL of the local listing on a Google service. 

Example of local listing URL:

Please enter a valid URL. The URL you entered may not be a complete URL, meaning it may be broken with ellipses ("..."), have a space (" ") in the middle or at the end, or be missing key elements of a URL (such as missing "http://", ".com", ".org", etc.).

URLs that begin with business.google or services.google are not accepted.

YouTube URLs are not accepted.

Please note that we cannot accept your request if any of the URLs you submitted are invalid.

How to find a local listing URL

Please provide a link to the local listing. 

To find the link, you can search for the local listing on Google Maps in your web browser and copy the link that displays when the local listing occupies your entire browser window.

 

If you are searching for the local listing on Google Search, select the “Maps” tab and then copy the link that displays in your web browser.

Describe the information that you want corrected  *

For each URL you provided, please:

  1. Explain how the information identified constitutes personal information of the person on whose behalf this request is made (i.e., how it identifies and relates to that person); and
  2. Describe the correction you believe should be made to the information and why. 

For example: "(1) The phone number in the local listing identifies and relates to me because a, b, and c. (2) The phone number displayed in this local listing should be corrected to 123456789 because of x, y, and z."
