Measure user engagement

This article explains how we measure user engagement with your posts.

Users are likely to engage with your content because they’re already searching for you on Google. You can track your post views and interaction rates to help determine what type of content engages your users.

View your metrics

At the bottom of each post in the authoring tool, you can view the total number of post views on Google Search and other platforms.

We email aggregate account metrics to account holders weekly. The email includes the following:

  • Posts on Search: Number of posts on Search for the week
  • Total views: Total number of views from all posts
  • Top 3 posts: Thumbnails of the three posts with the highest interaction rate for the week

You can opt out of receiving emails about aggregate account metrics. Find out more about how to opt out and manage your account.
