Save a drawing as a note

You can add drawings as notes in Google Keep. Create drawings from scratch, add drawings to existing notes, or draw on top of images.  

Create a drawing

  1. On your computer, go to Google Keep.
  2. At the top, click New note with drawing​​ Draw.
  3. To start drawing, click and drag in the drawing area.
  4. To save the drawing, click Back Back .
  5. In the bottom right, click Done.

To edit your drawing, open the note and click the drawing.

Use the drawing tools
  • To draw thin lines, click the Pen Draw.
  • To draw thick lines, click the Marker marker.
  • To highlight with color, click the Highlighter highlighter.
  • To pick the color or size of a tool, go to the tool and click the Down arrow Down Arrow.
  • To erase a shape, click the Eraser eraser.
  • To select any shape you’ve drawn, click Select Select.
Delete your drawing
  1. On your computer, go to Google Keep.
  2. Click the note that has the drawing.
  3. To delete your drawing, click Remove Remove.

Add a drawing to a note

  1. On your computer, go to Google Keep.
  2. Click the note you want to add a drawing to.
  3. At the bottom, click More More.
  4. Click Add drawing.
  5. To start drawing, click and drag in the drawing area.

Add a drawing to an image in a note

  1. On your computer, go to Google Keep.
  2. Click the note with the image you want to add a drawing to.
  3. Click the image.
  4. At the top right, click the Pen Draw.
  5. Start drawing.
  6. To remove a drawing from an image, click the down arrow next to the Eraser eraser.
