Prepare your media

To preview your content in Jump Inspector, your 360 media should conform to the following specifications.

Video

  • Container:
    • Stereo Audio: MP4
    • Spatial Audio: MOV
  • Codec: H.264, Main profile (if exporting from Premiere, you can use x264Pro to generate 4K videos)
  • Resolution/Frame Rate:  
    • 3072x3072 - 29.97/30fps
    • 2880x2880 - 59.94/60fps
  • Chroma subsampling: yuv420p
  • Bitrate: 40 Mbps

Note: Jump uses a top-bottom stereoscopic frame layout. If your content is monoscopic, add .360.mono. to the filename before the file extension, for example: MyVideo.360.mono.mp4

Audio

Note: Ambisonic audio must use ACN channel ordering and SN3D normalization. (Go to the ambiX Ambisonic plug-in suite on gitHub.) For information about audio and Jump, see Spatial audio.

  • Stereo audio: AAC
  • Spatial audio: Uncompressed 16-bit

Number of audio channels:

  • Stereo audio: 2
  • Spatial audio / FOA: 4
  • Higher-order ambisonics: 16

(For spatial audio) Ambisonic format: ACN/SN3D (ambiX)

Sample rate: 44100Hz or 48000Hz
