My events are labelled "private" requiring manual entry of the conference code on the kiosk to join 3 Recommended Answers 19 Replies 12 Upvotes

When I click on the the scheduled event on the the kiosk, I get a message that it is "private" and I have to enter a conference code.  Is there any way to avoid the need for manually entering the meeting code on a kiosk that has already been invited to a conference call?

I'm having the same problem as the OP

The org resource calendar has it's share settings set to: Make available for [domain] - See all event details

However when I create a new Calendar entry and invite the room resource, the new meeting event appears on the Jamboard as (private)

Hi Eoin,

It's possible that your Default visibility could be set to Private. When you set up a Calendar invite, check the following:




If you set the visibility to Public, the new meeting event should appear with details on the Jamboard. Check out additional information on privacy settings here.

I'm having this same issue. I made the specific event public, but it's still showing as private on the Jamboard and requiring a manual input of the meeting code. Our users don't need to do this when booking a conference room resource, it seems to be something specific to the Jamboards. Is this a bug?

I am experiencing this as well, I made sure to make the meeting invite Public. Is this managed by the jamboard calendar resource permissions?

Hi Libby,

Could you provide a link or step-by-step to find where this setting should be changed?

I have checked different areas of my Admin console and the calendar resource the Jamboard is associated with, I can't find the settings you have mentioned above.

I have checked the following areas:

Device management > Jamboards > Jamboard
- this page is for the Jamboard settings, and the desired calendar resource is assigned under the 'Video-conferencing configuration' pane. There are no other options relating to the resource Calendar in this pane.

Buildings and resources > Resource management > Resources > Jamboard > Details
- here I can find the calendar resource I have assigned to the Jamboard. Again I don't see any options relating to the visibility of events on the resource.

Apps > G Suite > Settings for Calendar > Sharing settings
- here I see the general settings for calendar on my domain, nothing specific to the Jamboard calendar resource.

Hello,

We have the same issue. (With a Trial Jamboard)

It's not possible for us to enable the allowing of External Sharing option to employees of ouf Organisation.

Why the Jamboard not work like a Chromebox ? 

Have you planned to fix this issue ? 

The resolution of this issue is for us the condition to order 10 Jamboards for our next building.

Hey Ryan, thanks for reaching out.

This is definitely something we are looking at but don't have a timeline for at the moment. Presently, the only way to do this would be via the Admin console.
