When you use Google Jamboard, we use some data to offer you better experiences in the product. Your information stays secure. You can always control your privacy settings in your Google Account.

Your content is stored securely

When you make a post, poll, or upload media (such as a photo or video), it is stored securely in our world-class data centers. Data is encrypted in-transit and at-rest. Your Google Account comes with built-in security designed to detect and block threats like spam, malware, viruses, and hackers. Your activity is stored using industry-leading encryption.

Your email address helps sync your data

To store your preferences, help you sign in, and get you files you've uploaded through other devices, we use your email address.

Your data improves your Jamboard experience

To provide customer support, we process info from your account that is necessary to help you, but only if you contact Google for assistance first.

To improve Jamboard’s performance and reliability, and to help with troubleshooting in case of issues while you use Jamboard, we collect performance data and crash analytics. We also use this info to help prevent abuse of our services and for analysis.

Sync your services with your location 

To understand how your experience of the product may relate to geography, like when you send feedback to Google, and to keep your account secure, like if we notice you have signed in from a new location, we use some location info.

Jamboard doesn’t use your content for advertising

We don’t use information in apps where you primarily store personal content—including Jamboard—for advertising purposes, period.

To optimize web search results to be added to a Jam file for collaboration, we store recent search queries you’ve made.

It’s your choice to make a copy of your data, back it up, or even move it to another service.
